Joyce began working in the healthcare industry in 2002, when she was only 16 years old, as a receptionist for a skilled nursing center. From reception, Joyce was promoted to the Admissions department as Admissions coordinator. Here, she learned all about the process of admitting a guest and the insurance process.
In 2010, Joyce was promoted to Assistant Business Office Manager. Joyce worked as an assistant for a few years before she was given her own building. Joyce has spent the better part of the last 15 years learning all there is to know about how to run a business office, Medicare benefits, Managed Care benefits, and Medicaid processes. She has a vast knowledge of insurance processes and finances in a long-term care facility setting. Here at Bear Creek, Joyce is responsible for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. She manages each guest’s insurance benefits and helps families and guests prepare for both pre- and post-skill circumstances. She enjoys helping families navigate their finances so our guests can focus on getting better!
Joyce was born and raised in Clearwater, FL, just recently moving to Pasco County. When Joyce isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her twin, nine-year-old girls, loving husband, and playful pup, Harley. She also enjoys concerts, riding the Harley with her husband, and beach days with her girls. Joyce is very excited to be a part of the Bear Creek family!!
