Bear Creek

"First of all, Happy Friday to you and your staff! As you may know, my mom's husband has been at Bear Creek since 9/9/11 and I feel I've had enough time to look and listen. In this world today people tend to focus on the "negative" and that is ok if we plan to "fix it". I have to tell you that to this date I've not seen or heard one negative attitude or comment directed from an employee to another employee or from an employee to a patient. While I am sure there are difference of opinions amongst the staff, they obviously know that patient care is #1.

My amazement is the cohesiveness I see in EVERY department, not just Nursing. While I don't know every ones name, I do know these folks either work with my dad on a daily basis and some I've been with in meetings and they have been very helpful:

a. Donna P. - Her knowledge of what she does is "crazy". She is very smart and her sense of humor is fantastic!

b. Jeanette P. - In my team she would have to be the "quarterback". Keeps everything going with such patience. WOW!

c. Becky F. - This is the cool as a cucumber nurse that always keeps me informed of everything going on, no matter what time of the day. And I know she is busy.

d. Monica K. - Cool as a cucumber part II. She also keeps me informed of my dads situation. And I know she is busy also.

e. Kim D. - She is always smiling. My dad lacks nothing because Kim always lets me know what he needs regarding his clothing, grooming, or anything else he may need.

f. Joann (?) social worker and Carolynn (?) director of activities - Had my first meeting with them a couple of weeks back. I was amazed at the records and knowledge they had. Last but not least all of the CNA's and other staff who's names I don't know (or can't remember!) WOW how they work!!!!!!

It was not my intention to write so much but then again when there are so many people that are so good, one can never write enough! Thank all of you so very much for what you do and how you do it, EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" - Tony N.

"As to the Rehab Dept. in my opinion is one of the best I have ever been in, I could say the best, as they work with the same TLC which flows throughout the place. From the desks of those in the offices, to the nurses, the CNA's, aides to the cleaning personnel and above all those in the kitchen for their delicious meals. To all I salute you, and thank you for allowing me to see the "earthly angels" at work. God sends to care for those in need.

"The purpose of this letter is for you to know of my feelings of my stay here. My Doctor was impressed at how much I had achieved in such a short time here. The Rehab department is outstanding and I believe what makes it so efficient is they are a total team. Their method not only does the physically motivate you but they also develop one into the right mental attitude. They let you work at your own pace but are constantly encouraging you. Some days were very painful and others I felt so pleased on what I had accomplished. My wishes that the staff get recognition for a job well done. The nursing personnel also do outstanding work they show a great deal of patience encouraging the patient to get on the road to recovery." - Mary S.
